Easy Desktop Setup Guide Setting up a new desktop computer does not have to be overwhelming. Following a structured process ensures your workstation is ergonomic, safe, and ready for immediate use. Step 1: Unbox and Inspect Component Parts

Carefully unpack all equipment from the retail packaging. Ensure you have the computer tower, monitor, power cables, video cable, keyboard, and mouse. Inspect each item for any visible shipping damage before proceeding. Place all components on a clean, flat, and stable work surface. Step 2: Position the Hardware Correctly

Place the computer tower on your desk or a hard riser off the carpet. Ensure all cooling vents have at least four inches of clearance for airflow. Position the monitor directly in front of your seating position. Adjust the screen height so the top third of the monitor sits at eye level to prevent neck strain. Step 3: Connect the Monitor to the Tower

Locate the video output ports on the back of the computer tower. If your system has a dedicated graphics card, use the lower ports rather than the motherboard ports near the top. Connect the monitor using an HDMI, DisplayPort, or USB-C cable. Secure the connection firmly on both ends. Step 4: Plug In Input Peripherals

Connect your wired keyboard and mouse to the available USB ports on the back of the tower. If you are using wireless peripherals, insert the USB receiver dongle into a front or rear port. Turn on the power switches located on the bottom of wireless devices. Step 5: Establish a Network Connection

Connect an Ethernet cable from your router directly to the network port on the tower for the fastest connection. If you plan to use Wi-Fi, screw the included external antennas into the gold threaded posts on the back of the computer. Leaving these off will result in weak wireless signals. Step 6: Connect Power and Turn On

Plug the monitor power cable directly into a surge protector. Connect the main power cable to the computer tower and plug it into the same surge protector. Flip the master power switch on the back of the PC tower to the “On” or “|” position. Press the power button on the front of the case to boot your system.
